I cleared my Salesforce Admin certification(WI16) last week and here are few tips from my side to prepare for the exam:
- I used salesforce-qa document, which I got it when I googled to find out the study materials for the exam and it covers the topics given in the study guide (except SalesforceA and Salesforce1, interestingly I didn’t get any questions from those topics).
- Then, I started going through the questions given in the site from Part 1-Part 10 and there are about 1000 questions. I didn’t get majority of these questions on my exam though from these dumps, it has helped me to understand the nature of questions that can be asked for the exam. I have got around 20 questions from these dumps.
- After finishing the exam, I found out this Admin-201-Certified-Administrator-notes which is gud too.

I have studied only the dumps given in http://salesforceadm201.blogspot.com.au/2011/ which I mentioned earlier in my blog post. Make sure that you study the notes given in salesforce-qa document based on the topics given in study guide.
Though there are topics related to Salesforce1 and SalesforceA in the study guide, I did not get any question about them instead I got a question on Salesforce classic lite which was one of the topic in the old exam study guide.
Mostly I had theoretical questions in the exam. Let me know if you need any more information.

I did not follow the study guide listed here. I did it from certifiedondemand.com. It is more extensive than the one listed here. I do not have experience on the platform. I started learning salesforce in december infact 🙂
Here’s what I did:
I started with
1. Force.com Platform fundamentals and practiced EVERYTHING in the developer edition and ofcourse I did the trailhead too.
2. I also finished the Analytics Workbook as Reports and Dashboards are an important topic for the App builder,Admin and Advanced Admin
3.Certifiedondemand.com + Flashcard+ Site listed by Mani here.
If you have experience u do not need to do the first two.
And about the questions, practice the flash cards on quizlet and http://salesforceadm201.blogspot.com.au/2011/ diligently over n over.
Make a list of questions you were not able to answer and revise them.
Some of the Answers/Limits on the site are wrong please check them from Salesforce help. They are the same pattern .If you are lucky you will get the same questions. I got atleast a 25 questions from here.

Please share your email address here and I will contact you. Dont worry… If you do the sources i mentioned you ll pass no matter what. You just need to get the concepts and u can answer most except the completely theoretical ones. Even those will be easy if you do the sources in certified on demand

I have glanced through the questions, looks like few questions were close to the exam and majority of them are not(though I might have got questions on the same line and I don’t remember now as I have taken the test almost 1.5 months back:)
